Current Fees

Our consultation fees are based on the total time your GP spends managing your care. This includes not only the time spent with you during your appointment—whether in person or over the phone—but also the time required to review your file beforehand, document your consultation afterward, and manage any related tasks such as reviewing specialist correspondence, referrals, and test results.
 
Medicare rebates are calculated differently and typically only apply to the time spent directly with your GP. After your consultation, the appropriate Medicare item will be applied based on the total time and nature of the service, which means your out-of-pocket cost (gap) may vary.
 
We aim to be transparent and fair in our billing, and we appreciate your understanding.

It is the policy of this practice that all private fees need to be paid in full on the day of consult.

All consults for DVA Gold Card Holders & children under the age of 16 are bulk billed.

Any patient 16 years of age and over holding a current Student ID Card will receive a reduced full payment with a $35 gap.

Any additional procedure at the time of consultation will attract an additional fee.

All consultations will now include an administrative fee. This fee is to help us cover the newly mandated payroll tax, which is a government-required cost, utilities, insurance, registrations and accreditation fees. We’ve kept the fee as small as possible so we can continue to provide you with high-quality care.

As a service to our patients, we have implemented “TYRO Online Claiming” which enables us to send your paid account directly to Medicare instantly via the internet, and giving you an immediate refund back into your nominated savings or cheque account.

Bulk Billing

We will continue to direct bill Medicare for the following:

  • DVA Gold Card Holders
  • Children aged 15 years and under (for GP consults)
  • GPMPs (chronic disease management plans)
  • Health Assessments
  • Selected treatment room appointments (e.g. immunisations that form part of the National Immunisation Program)

Treatment Room Services

We will continue to bulk bill immunisations that form part of the National Immunisation Program but all other services provided by our Practice Nurse incur an out-of-pocket expense for all patients. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ear Syringes
  • B12 Injections
  • Cryotherapy
  • INRs
  • Wound Dressings

Medicare Safety Net

Medicare Safety Nets can help to lower your out of pocket costs – individuals with no dependants who hold a Medicare Card are automatically registered.  Couples and families need to register once only for this. Visit <https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/medicare-safety-nets> for more information.
